An open woodfire restaurant that takes you to the Basque Country for a moment and really lives up to it’s reputation. The grilled turbot is out of this world but in fact all other courses are also tasty as hell! All in a no nonsense environment paired with a broad selection of top producers, sophisticated cocktails and attentive staff!

One of the best dishes I’ve had, is this Pithivier St Jacques from Pique Nique. Although this was only a New Year’s Eve special, their daily wellington specials, including the seabass wellington looks good!

Best place in London? No. Favourite place in London? Very probably. Never had a bad meal here, great seafood, and a kitchen that knows when to leave ingredients to their own devices (and what ingredients they are) but, when they do "interfere" do so to frequently dazzling effect, with a great understanding of flavours: the pictured oysters with jalapeño, kalamansi and dill being a case in point. Best value happy hour in London too: six (first rate) oysters, glass of Crémant for a tenner.
Just a short walk from Piccadilly Circus, estiatorio Milos sits in a restored early 20th-century building that blends Greek accents with London’s vibrant feel. Its open layout centers around a signature fish market, highlighting a focus on fresh ingredients and simple elegance. Briny, avant-garde delights from Leo CarreiraChef Leo Carreira's chef's table experience in Haggerston (there is a more casual sister restaurant in Chelsea) is what you'd expect from an ex Mugaritz man. Very experimental and technical but with nods to and plays on Portuguese food culture and traditions that ensure there is still a warmth and fun there. All delicious. I had an incredible flourless langoutine 'wedding cake' (pictured) which was unlike anything I'd ever eaten before, and was again, a play on a traditional recipe (Carreira has also published an extensive Portuguese cookbook).

The heart of LondonWelcoming seafood restaurant in the heart of Piccadilly. Been dining here countless of times and always recommend it to friends visiting London. Would suggest sitting at the downstairs oyster bar, if space. They serve the best oysters the Island can offer.
FishWorks Restaurant & Fishmongers in London’s West End provides a relaxed space where you can pick up fresh fish to cook at home or have it prepared for you on the spot. It’s conveniently located just off Regent Street, making it an easy stop any day of the week. The friendly atmosphere and fishmonger service invite you to explore a variety of options whenever you’re in the mood for seafood.

Choose your catch and indulge in this West End fish restaurant The restaurant offers a traditional wet fish counter where you can buy fish to take home and cook yourself, or you can select any fish or crustacean with the fishmonger and have it cooked there and then - whopper prawns, tuna, cod, trout, halibut, flounder, grouper. Plenty of French, Rock and Native oysters. Plus, a show-stopping Fruits de Mer. The atmosphere is great both weekends and midweek, just off Regent Street and London’s West End.
Plaza Khao Gaeng is Lukie Farrell’s flagship restaurant in JKS’ Arcade Foodhall, serving authentic Southern Thai food in central London. It has a casual, welcoming atmosphere and smaller portions that encourage trying different flavors. It’s a comfortable spot for both locals and visitors to get a genuine taste of Thai cooking.

Tasty, authentic Southern Thai food in central London. Lukie Farrell’s flagship restaurant in JKS’ Arcade Foodhall serves up super tasty and probably one of the most authentic renditions of Southern Thai cooking in London. Think fiery, fragrant kua-gling, wok fried prawns with curry paste and sato beans, and sour and spicy seafood gang som (orange curry) that will make you sweat as though you’re sitting at a real road-side “Khao gaeng” shop in Phuket. Small-ish portions mean you can try lots of different dishes - the way it should be! - even just between two. Dont forget to order a jug of Cha-Yen (Thai milk tea) which is deliciously fragrant, refreshing and not so easy to find outside of Thailand.
The Princess Royal Pub & Boutique Hotel in Notting Hill is a friendly gastropub with a relaxed vibe and an inviting outdoor dining area. Its attentive staff and lively atmosphere make it a comfortable choice for a casual night out.

Behind Restaurant is a one Michelin star, fish-focused tasting menu spot near London Fields in Hackney. Led by chef Andy Beynon, it has an 18-seat open kitchen where you can see the cooking process up close. The setting is relaxed and intimate, offering a warm atmosphere to enjoy a meal.

Superb seafood-focused tasting menu There was much furore when Andy Beynon's London Fields restaurant was awarded a Michelin star after just 20 full days of opening, but one visit to Behind and you'll discover that Michelin were bang on the money. It's a chef's table style restaurant, seafood-focused, with soft spoken Andy guiding you through the menu. The cooking is confident and technically strong without being uneccessarily showy. Easily one of the best meals I've had in London.
The Barbary is a small, lively spot tucked away in London’s Neal’s Yard, inspired by the flavors of North Africa and the surrounding region. Sitting at the counter, you can watch the chefs at work while soaking up the energetic atmosphere. It’s a casual place that draws on a mix of cultural influences, offering a laid-back way to explore new tastes.

North-African inspired counter dining in a buzzy spotThe Barbary flys a little bit under the radar I think, but this small, loud and buzzy restaurant in Neal's Yard is great fun. Take a seat at the counter and dive into breads and dips and delicious grilled meat and seafood - the 'cigars' and the chicken shawarma are ace.
Balthazar is a French brasserie in Covent Garden’s historic Flower Cellars building, known for its relaxed and inviting Parisian feel. Inspired by its well-loved New York City counterpart, it offers a cozy spot for all-day dining. The warm atmosphere and classic setting make it a popular choice for anyone seeking a straightforward, welcoming place to enjoy French-inspired fare in central London.

Covent Garden’s favourite French bistro.A wonderful French bistro with a really nice ambience in the Covent Garden theatre district. Balthazar may be familiar to many from New York City’s SoHo and this is pretty much the same. Typical French bistro food and a rich oyster and fish bar. I love the atmosphere in both locations. Reserve well in advance due to its popularity. A theatre followed by Balthazar makes a perfect experience. Try sole, sea bass, lobster, tartar or filé de beauf.
Mount St. Restaurant in London highlights modern English cooking in a setting filled with striking art and design. They work with local farmers to feature fresh, regional ingredients. It’s a warm, relaxed spot for anyone interested in new takes on English cuisine.

Superb modern English cuisine in a wonderful art & design settingJamie Shears works closely with local farmers and creates a truly exciting menu of modern English food. Strong recommendation. Try their amazing lobster pie or the Pimlico pigeons. The dessert list is nicely focused on puddings but not the way you think. English food CAN be delicious, we learned. Very nice art and design.
