Anahi is a tiny and noisy place in a relatively quiet spot, north of Marais. The space is white tiled old butchers shop and food is Argentinian, with an emphasis on superb quality meat. After all these years it is still loved by the fashion & media crowd. In a city full of stunning places, I love to visit Anahi once almost always when in Paris - mostly for the buzzying atmosphere.

It doesn’t get more classic French than this. Immaculate, traditional courses served with style and panache. Looking for modern cuisine? Sorry, this is not the place. The classics are spot on though.

A very nice, young and cool place in Paris with a super tasty and creative dishes to shareAlready the name ‘Chocho’ that has been chosen for how it sounds when you pronounce it, heralds a restaurant where the rule is to free oneself from meanings and frameworks and leave ample room for freedom, imagination, creativity. The French-American chef with Catalan influences Thomas Chisholm has focused the restaurant's philosophy on small super tasty dishes to share (like tapas) in a fresh and young environment.Lovely place!

A fun, lively, tightly packed rustic Parisian bistro. It’s all about the food here. One of my go to bistros in Paris for years! It’s a fun, lively, tightly packed rustic Parisian bistro. Chef Stéphane Jego is quite the personality but it’s all about the food here. Order à la carte or put it in the chef's hands and go for the tasting menu. Either way you’ll be happy. Don’t forget to order the rice pudding served family style in a big wooden bowl and spoon with nougatine and caramel on the side!! Always a winner.

Chef Simon Horwitz and his team often cook over a rotisserie or wood fire, which brings out the best in seasonal produce. With a welcoming feel and a carefully chosen wine list, it’s a comfortable place to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared meal.

Chique but relaxed neighbourhood place.Elmer, for me, was unknown. But their new year's menu looked great, and it was great. So I figure it would be a great place to visit year-round. Our menu was a bit more elaborate, because of the festivities. But great flavours, and great quality ingredients produced very nice dishes. Classical wine list, unlike most in the Republique and 11th area.

Founded by a chef off the star studded casts of Top Chef; this restaurant proves its mettle and worth via creativity. If you're one to idolise the French program Top Chef, Chef Matthias Marc is not a name that you'll forget. This restaurant, just a strut away from the eiffel tower is breathtaking upon entry but be fooled not by its artistic exterior, the kitchen packs in tons of flavour into its food. The tasting menu celebrates slow food, each element on the plate, stretched, poured, schmeared so much so that they beckoned to be prodded at, investigated and admired for its underlying efforts. Following a dynamite trio of starters which include a tarlet of eggplant, gooseberry and sesame, the kitchen graduates to a cold starter of sea bream with almond cream doused in a wistful pool of geranium milk for a brilliant touch of light perfume and citrus. Across those translucent slices lay a lawn of white almonds and white raspberries which are a pertinent decision to introduce subtle and seasonal crunch.

Intimate and cosyThis wonderfully warm and intimate restaurant is dare, I say it, the ideal place for a romantic meal in Paris. Knowledgeable staff (great somm!), very reasonable pairings and sharp cooking set it somewhere between a bistro and something fancier.
Sister Midnight is a cocktail bar in Pigalle that welcomes everyone with its open, friendly vibe. It’s a relaxed spot to enjoy good music, a lively atmosphere, and a sense of community.

Its always a party at this one of a kind, world class cocktail bar in Pigalle, hosting drag shows on weekends.Run by Joe and Jen (also the masterminds behind Red House Bar in the 11th) Sister Midnight’s motto is practically, “You be you.” Sipping a high-quality cocktail at the bar or in a dark corner sitting on plush banquettes behind velvet curtains, you can imagine a stunning Paris/Berlin/New Orleans venue in the 1920’s. I love the peacock blue walls, gold mirrors and fun billboard signs with upcoming schedule of drag show stars’ names in lights. Don't worry if you hear Pigalle is sketchy - Sister Midnight is a gorgeous tiny gem where everyone is welcome, personalities are BIG, and drinks are STELLAR. With Joe, Joe and Jen (there are actually two Joes - the Owner and Joe from Australia) behind the bar, you can let your inhibitions fly with any creation they guide you too. Photos by Aron Farkas.

Gorgeous Parisian SpeakeasyMoonshiner is a quintessential speakeasy that is inspired by the clandestine drinking locations of the prohibition era. This gorgeous little bar is tucked away behind a pizza restaurant and to enter it, you have to walk through the large refrigerator of the pizzeria before finally being transported back in time to the most charmingly quaint bar. The cocktails, themselves, are also incredible. The Taboulé – a tasty tipple consisting of vodka, mint, parsley, cucumber, clarified tomato, rye vodka and amaretto – comes highly recommended. Moonshiner is highly impressive and can't be recommended enough.
