Sometimes in the morning when I come to the restaurant, I stop by the Boulangerie Pâtisserie Pain de Sucre on Rue Rambuteau. They are doing an amazing pain au chocolat and croissants that I bring to the staff. And on top of that they do an amazing feuilleté aux pommes and on top of that they do amazing feuilletés à la crème citron that I'm totally nuts about, so I love this place.

Casual and laid back, modern design, outdoor seating in back. No Wi-Fi. No croissants or baguettes, come here for the best sourdough in Paris and excellent coffee. Scones, great cookies, seasonal Danish, meat or veg quiches, sandwiches, veg/grain bowl for lunch. And the chocolate rye cookie is like a macaron on the outside and a fudgie brownie on the inside. Divine. Pre-order bread on Sundays, as they usually sell out. Or go eat the bread at Septime, Parcelles, or any number of great restaurants that get their bread from here.
