Thai and American cuisine come together in a deliciously unexpected way at Thai DinerThai and American cuisine come together in a deliciously unexpected way at Thai Diner. With a menu full of inventive and playful dishes that are still approachable, this casual eatery is a standout in the crowded New York City food scene. Don’t miss out on the heavenly egg sandwich with cheese, sai oua herbal sausage and Thai basil wrapped in roti. One of my favorite brunch items in town!
Emily is a laid-back spot in New York’s Clinton Hill neighborhood that draws crowds for its inviting atmosphere. The menu includes a variety of well-liked options, and the staff creates a friendly setting for both lunch and dinner. Emily could be considered a pizzeria, but actually they are famous for their burger! During the week they only offer 25 burgers which pretty much sell out in the first hour of opening and during the weekend brunch, they offer unlimited amounts. We went for the weekend brunch to not risk being left out without the famous Emmy Burger, and we can confirm this is in our opinion the best burger on earth! The Emmy burger looks like this: Pat LaFrieda dry-aged beef, EMMY sauce, caramelized onion, Grafton cheddar and all this on a pretzel bun!
Absolute Bagels is known as one of the best bagel shops in New York, with a line that’s often worth the wait. Founded in 1990, it serves fresh bagels that many find perfectly chewy and satisfying. It’s a straightforward spot that’s popular with both locals and visitors.

It feels like you are obligated to have at least one bagel when you visit New York. We did an extensive research until deciding this was going to be the place to try a bagel in NYC. We can't tell if it's the best in the city, but one thing is sure, that bagel was super good and we will have it again on our next visit!

Jack's Wife Freda is a well-loved spot in SoHo that often draws a lively crowd, particularly in the mornings. There can be a wait, but the relaxed vibe and chance to people-watch make the experience worthwhile. With another location in Williamsburg, it’s a go-to choice any time of day.

SoHo’s most popular breakfast and brunch. The coolest breakfast in SoHo, always full so be prepared to queue for a while among young smart crowd. Mornings are fantastic but the place also serves lunch and dinner. Great way to observe SoHo creative crowd which is part of the fun in this place. The restaurant might be growing to a franchise since another place has already been opened in Williamsburg. Hopefully this does not screw the bubbling authentic atmosphere.
