Legendary fish and seafood restaurant with no gimmicks, emphasis on the freshness and quality. These days, when new hip and hot places open almost every week, it is way too easy to forget the old classics. Wedholms Fisk, founded by the late and great Bengt Wedholm is a prime example of this. One of Stockholms best (there are actually surprisingly few of them) pure seafood restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and seldom disappoints if the “the real thing” is what you are looking for – a bit like Le Duc in Paris. The menu is strong on classics from Swedish oysters to sole meunier or Turbot with horseradish, browned butter and new potatoes. The Swedish seafood is superb, but a lot of it should be preordered few days in advance to quarantee the quality.
