La Taqueria

La Taqueria is an essential institution in SF in my eyes. Been coming here since I moved to the mission 18yrs ago. They’ve got a James beard classic and all the awards and accolades and writeups on the wall, and rightfully so. Yes, come for the burrito, but also get the tacos too—dorado style and add guac ofc. A squeeze from the bottle of green salsa is spicy, but you can also ask for salsa roja off menu behind the counter to change things up a bit.
