Japanese influence is everywhere, and it's very present in San Francisco. A personal favorite that rises to the top is Rentaro. Sylvan Mishima Brackett is the chef and owner. Rintaro is essentially an izakaya so it's got a lot of variety to it. It’s a fantastic restaurant. This is a the place that I look forward to going often.
