Joshua David Stein is a food journalist and cookbook author in New York City. Currently the restaurant reviewer for Avenue magazine, he was previously the critic at the Village Voice and the New York Observer. Among his books are Notes from a Young Black Chef, with Kwame Onwuachi; Vino: An Essential Guide to Real Italian Wine, with Joe Campanale; and The Nom Wah Cookbook, with Wilson Tang. He lives in Brooklyn with his two sons.
