Av. Emilio Castelar 212, Polanco, Polanco III Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, 11540 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

This down-to-earth spot, El Turix, stands out among its high-end neighbors, offering a unique dining experience where cold beer is served straight from the bottle. The menu is simple yet delicious, focusing on cochinita pibil, a masterfully cooked pulled pork dish. Diners can customize their meal by choosing if they want their cochinita served on a taco, tortilla, panucho, or tamal, with the crispy panucho being a popular choice.

One Little Pig El Turix is like a sunspot, hole in the wall among luxurious boutiques, fashionable restaurants and glossy offices of Polanco. There are no tables and cold beer is served in the bottles. There is also no choice: the sole dish is cochinita pibil, masterfully cooked pulled pork. And the only freedom you have here is to choose between taco, tortilla, panucho or tamal as a base for your cochinita. Crispy panucho (corn tortilla refried with black beans) is probably the best.
