Expert recommendation

Restaurant offering a tasting menu with flavors and produce from Catalunya and north of Spain. For some reason we’ve been wanting to come here since their opening in 2020 but something always happened and we haven’t been able to visit until this last June, and let us tell you this place was a fantastic experience, a place that for sure has its place amongst our favorites in Barcelona. We sat on the counter, and we recommend you do the same if you have the chance, because it’s great to able to observe the chefs cook and also the service is more direct. Now, focusing on the food, which is definitely the main reason why this place has become a favorite, let us show you some of the dishes we had during our 14-course tasting menu: * Stingray, pig ear & noisette butter. * Cold soup of tomato, sherry, cherries & salmorejo. * Tomato en noisette butter confit, Galician cheese sauce, bread crumbs, oregano, thyme. * Galician “cocido” fritter. * Pickled Oyster, a pil-pil of a hake head, oil of spirulina and purslane, and salicornia. * Caldeirada & mackerel. * Roasted cabbage, “cocido” toffee, mustard & salicornia. * Fritter of cheese, honey & truffle. * “Santiago cake”. A part from truly enjoying each dish, we think that 70€ for this 14-course menu is a bargain, it can’t get any better than this. From the dishes mentioned, we loved savory fritter, and the stingray was outstanding as well, our kind of surf&turf.
