Sobakatsu

Soba Katsu is a hole in the wall in Japantown in San Francisco. This is the first and original Japantown in North America and in the Western world since the 1800s, and one of the few remaining that still has a Japanese population. This tiny little soba noodle shop with 11 seats and lines out the door every day is an example of the hole-in-the-wall gems that open here all the time, and they’ve got just a tiny menu of hot and cold soba perfectly done Japanese style.
