Café De Tacuba

This is one of the restaurants that our friends highly recommended to us as a must-eat for traditional Mexican food. It’s been around for a hundred years, I think. The historic building is beautiful. Their soups were so good, abd so was their guacamole. From our research, everybody seemed to recommend this chicharone day with a green sauce, so we ordered it and enjoyed it, although it was not what we expected. We love chicharones bc of its crunch. But then they served it funk in a bowl of hearty warm green sauce, the chicharones were soggy, but maybe that’s how it was supposed to be eaten. Like I said, we didnt expect it like that at all. Maybe they should have served rhe chicharones on the side so they still stay crunchy when eaten with that delicious green sauce. But maybe I don’t know what am taking about since it’s my first time trying this dish. It is definitely a place for a group of friends or family to order a bunch of things to share. But if you just come with two people, make sure you do enough research beforehand to know exactly what to order so you’ll have a great food experience.
