Sakai Shokai

Sakai Shokai is my favourite izakaya down in Shibuya. The chef, Hideaki Sakai also has another place called Sowado, but Sakai Shokai is fantastic. They have beautiful natural wines, a great sake list and Chef Hideaki is there cooking for you the whole time and you basically sit down and just tell them to feed you, it's fantastic. Their unagi sandwich is really good, and he also has this fried crispy spam which is really good. Those are the two standouts for sure that you got to try.
