My visit to La Mar allowed me the privilege of experiencing an omakase menu curated by Diego himself. To say it was memorable would be an understatement. Beyond the impeccable dishes – which in themselves were showstoppers – it was Diego's storytelling, passion, and camaraderie that made the evening unforgettable. Peruvian cuisine is universally delightful, but Diego's touch at La Mar is a testament to culinary artistry combined with heart. It's not often that I label a meal as one of the best in my life, but this experience at La Mar with Diego Oka? It's etched in memory, and rightfully so.
