El Cardenal Lomas

I don’t know if it’s the best traditional Mexican restaurant, but El Cardenal is my favorite in this genre. I think it’s been open for 50 years or something like that. In my perspective, they have the best mole poblano in the city. They do tortillas al minuto. It’s a huge place, but it’s very, very traditional. They respect a lot of ancient recipes, and it’s crazy delicious. You can also have there the enmoladas of chile poblano, you can have pancita, which is the tripe, cooked with oregano, tomatoes and chili which is super nice. They have a tortilla with eggs, onions, nopales — which is a cactus — and larvae, super good. as well.
