Bastardo is a fun new addition to the Italian restaurants in town. Not the traditional kind, but more playful and innovative.
Panzanella, for example, is served with a lovely basil foam and boquerones, beef tartare with hazelnuts, colatura and pecorino.
But start with the deepfried polenta with anchovy. Fingerlicking good!
The pasta dishes are perfectly sized and elegantly flavorful. Don't miss the classic and often-maligned tiramisu, here perfectly airy and wonderfully espresso-rich.
