I have been eating in Barcelona for the twenty years and there’s always something new to try. New doesn’t always mean good. Mathieu, the chef/proprietor was the opening chef of Bar Brutal in 2013 and had opened a restaurant/bar specializing in fried food. Start with the potato churros and spicy sauce. Ask for wine recommendations. It’s a great place to be on your own, in a couple of with a group of friends. The wine selection is full of Catalan gems and nice French wines. The house wine is a must. Order bit by bit to savour what he’s frying that day. There’s also raw fish dishes , salads and desserts to try. One of my favourite places in Barcelona
