We were in MC for new year’s week and it seemed everywhere were either closed for the holidays or booked up. Luckily, we found a spot available on my last night in MC. This restaurant is gorgeous and its tasting menu is so creative. We started with a cocktail, forgot the name but it was light, crisp, delcious, and wildly creative. It came with a fine black burnt salt on the rim, and 3 mini jelly medallions with edible flowers. Definitely rhe most beautifully presented cocktail I’ve had in a while. The 9 course tasting menu was well balanced. We were full but not super stuffed. The service was impeccable. Some dishes tasted better than others. The cauliflower on a white chocolate molé was diffrent, although not my fave, but they get an A for creativity. The baby suckling pig dish was the most delicious, with the thinnest crispy skin and flavorful, tender meat. The ceviche was delicious, refreshing and beautifully plated. We loved the two desserts at the end, both looked so elegant, clean, simple and monotone colors. The first dessert was more light and fruity, the 2bd one was more sinful. This is how desserts should be served at tasting menu, with two kinds of desserts, going from light to heavy. I also loved their in-house Hankerchief looking cracker that that accompanied the first egg dish so well. Wish we had more of the cracker though, instead of the three of us sharing one cracker. Everything was delicious (although the main two courses of surf & turf were the least inventive). Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are a foodie or a cook, you will be so inspired by creative touches throughout the tasting menu.
