Vinegar Hill House opened in 2008 and has been consistently great and charming ever since. The neighborhood is one of those rare pockets of NYC that feels like time has stood still. The charming old building with its wood burning oven and fireplace add to the overall charm. The rare Red Waddle pork and perfect roast chicken never leave the menu along with the fortifying Chicken liver mousse. The pasta is always perfect as are the slowing changing sides and smaller dishes. Finally legendary Bill Fitch curates a small but varied wine list that is extremely well priced and pairs wonderfully with the food. Special spots like Vinegar Hill House usually burn out fast not so here….
