Azul Historico

This restaurant is located in the courtyard of a beautiful, chic hotel. We’ve heard so many good things about it that we had to try. We ate here after the new year so I wasn’t in the mood to drink alcohol so I orders their coconut horchata which came out so thick and rich, almost like drinking melted ice cream. So I asked for a glass of ice and diluted it with some water and it was delicious. But if you like it like a thick cream, go for it. Anyway, I just took a chance and ordered an order of seven crispy pockets filed with duck and it was delicious with their cucumber pickle, dipped jn mole negro (so good). We had to order the soap de tortilla, very comforting and the crunchy tortilla added to its deliciousness. The Panuchos de Cochinita Pibil comes in 4 corn tortillas filled with black beans and boiled egg, topped with shredded pork and pickled red onion.
