How are WoM Benefits restaurants selected?

Restaurants must be either recommended by a member of our expert community in the app or vetted by the World of Mouth team. In order to keep the quality high and the process transparent, restaurants cannot pay to join WoM Benefits.

Are benefits included in Membership?

Benefits are included in the Membership. Benefits are currently live in Helsinki and Copenhagen.

Before the restaurant visit

Can I book for someone else?

The benefits are personal, so they are only valid for you and one dining companion.

Can I enjoy Benefits with friends?

We have a +1 policy. The benefits are for you and up to one friend.

Where can I see what benefits restaurants are offering?

You can see each restaurant’s benefits by either opening a Benefit restaurant in the app and pressing the “Benefits” icon under the image, or by viewing the restaurant in the Benefits section of the app.

During the restaurant visit

Can I use the deals for takeout as well?

Benefits are only for dining in.

Can benefits be used multiple times?

2-for-1 deals are limited to one use per restaurant, and are intended to let you try a new place with a larger discount. So you cannot try the same places more than once with the 2-for-1 deal, but you can try 2-for-1 deals at multiple different restaurants. Other benefits can be used multiple times in the same restaurant.

Can I use multiple benefit during the same restaurant visit?

Each person can get one benefit per restaurant visit, unless otherwise stated. This means that if you and a friend visit a restaurant together and you both have World of Mouth Membership, you cannot be each others' +1s. If you have more people with you, then you can of course both give your +1 benefits to others.

I forgot to add the Membership code during booking.

Show your Membership card from your phone when arriving at the restaurant. This can be accessed via the "Show card" button, selecting the correct restaurant and swiping.

How do I use Benefits?

Making a reservation
Book a table with your Membership code. Make sure to include your Membership code in your reservations comment section. When booking through the app, your code is automatically copied to your clipboard.

Arriving at the restaurant
Show your Membership card to the restaurant staff upon arrival.
1. Open the Membership tab in the World of Mouth app and press "Show card".
2. Select the restaurant you are at.
3. Swipe to confirm activating the benefit.
