There are a few things I like about this joint. Firstly, Karen Martini actually works in the kitchen. At her own restaurant. Outrageous, I know. Secondly, the aesthetic is really lovely. Abstract art, various shades of blue, sleek clean lines, soft lighting (some would say 'flattering') and an open kitchen (which feels mandatory these days). It's a calming space, enhanced with fabulous acoustics. As for the food, it's very Karen. Wholesome dishes, cooked well, and beautifully presented. But what I do want to talk about is the wine list because it took me by surprise. It's quite good AND it's reasonably priced. I know, such a shocking notion in 2021. Whoever their sommelier is, they deserve a pat on the back. Overall, I would return. The perfect pre or post meal following a show in the arts precinct x
